SEO Lead

Our client, a global digital marketing business, is seeking an SEO Lead to join their dynamic, multidisciplinary and expanding team.
They are looking to hire someone with comprehensive SEO expertise, someone capable of leading and executing organic strategies aligned with client objectives, identifying growth opportunities across the client portfolio, and contributing to the sales proposition to help secure new business and deliver on client and prospect goals. This individual will also play a key role in educating and empowering teams across the agency, demonstrating how SEO integrates seamlessly with broader brand, marketing, and communications initiatives.
Role
- Lead the execution of SEO strategies across a broad client base, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timely delivery
- Provide strategic direction and clear guidance to internal teams on all SEO deliverables
- Take ownership of technical SEO projects, including audits, site migrations, website launches, CMS changes, and retirements
- Analyse website crawl and log file data to identify issues, deliver actionable insights, and communicate findings effectively to clients
- Support integration of SEO within wider brand, marketing, and communications strategies
- Educate and upskill internal teams across the agency on SEO principles, tools, and practices
- Contribute to business development efforts by supporting SEO propositions in new business pitches
- Stay ahead of industry trends, including search engine algorithm updates and AI applications in SEO
- Play a key role in evolving and expanding the agency’s SEO offering
Requirements
- Proven experience in a senior agency-side SEO role
- Strong expertise in technical SEO (audits, migrations, launches, CMS transitions)
- Experience leading SEO strategy and managing deliverables across multiple clients
- Skilled in SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, Semrush, ScreamingFrog
- Ability to analyse data, build reports, and communicate insights clearly
- Comfortable collaborating with internal stakeholders and influencing client decision-makers
- Knowledge of JavaScript or Python is a plus
- Passion for problem-solving, testing, and continuous learning
- Understanding of AI's role in SEO and enthusiasm for innovation
- Proven experience supporting business development and attending pitches
